Battery electric cars I Jaguar-Pace can be recharged to 80% in 45 minutes.
The company Jaguar has published a video test of the electric crossover I-Pace, and also reported some details about the new product. The electric car will be presented March 1 at a private event, and its public premiere will take place on 6 March at the Geneva motor show.
The car has passed a series of tests on a special testing ground in the municipality of Arjeplog in Northern Sweden, where temperatures at this time of year can drop to minus 40 degrees Celsius. The company noted that the crossover will “perfect car for everyday use” with sufficient speed even at extremely low subzero temperatures.
Buyers Jaguar I-Pace will offer quick charging capacity of 100 kW, by means of which the supply battery can be replenished to 80% in 45 minutes.
Technical characteristics of the crossover are still kept secret. Its prototype, presented in 2016 at the motor show in Los Angeles, were equipped with two motors with total capacity of 400 horsepower. The motors are powered by batteries with a capacity of 90 kWh. According to preliminary data, I Jaguar-Pace can be accelerated from standstill to 100 km/h in four seconds and can travel without recharging the battery up to 500 kilometers.
I Jaguar-Pace will be available in four trim levels. In the equipment of the basic version will include led lenses, 18-inch aluminum wheels and the Meridian audio system. Top versions will be offered with leather trim, heated seats, a panoramic roof and a projection display.
