155 million infected by Covid-19 around the world

Nearly 155 million Covid-19 infections have been recorded worldwide. This is evident on Thursday from current data collected by Johns Hopkins CSSE.

The number of Americans carrying the coronavirus today recorded about 32.56 million infections and 579,276 deaths.

India and Brazil now have almost 20.7 million and over 14.9 million infections respectively.

In Western Europe, France has the highest number of infections with almost 5.77 million. The United Kingdom has over 4.4 million cases. Italy has almost 4.1 million infections and Spain has over 3.55 million cases. Germany is heading for 3.5 million.

In China, where the outbreak started at the end of 2019, 102,571 coronavirus cases have now been registered. This was 102,560 yesterday.

According to Johns Hopkins data, more than 3.24 million people worldwide have died from the virus. Nearly 91.3 million people have recovered.
