Hungarian budget airline Wizz Air announced plans to expand its presence in Ukraine.

About it on a press-conferences in Kiev were declared by the Executive Vice President and Deputy CEO of the airline, Stephen Jones, the correspondent UKRINFORM.

So, according to Jones, will open the route Lviv – Frankfurt-Hahn. The flights will be operated with a frequency of twice a week, on Mondays and Fridays.

From March 1, 2019 Wizz Air will launch flights to Kiev – Bremen. The flights will be operated on Mondays and Fridays.

On March 2, the low-cost airline will launch flights Kiev – Riga. The flights will be operated on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Will also be running the flight Kiev – Billund (Denmark). The flights will be operated on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

On March 6, will be opened the direction Lviv – Copenhagen. The flights will be operated on Wednesdays and Sundays.

The minimum price of tickets to new destinations announced from 25 EUR (including mandatory fees).

In addition, according to Executive Vice President of the company since March 1, 2019 Wizz Air intends to increase the base in the Kiev airport “Zhuliany” from three to four A320 aircraft. Thanks to this aircraft, the airline will increase the number of flights on the route Kiev – Lisbon – from 2 to 3 flights a week.

Jones noted that due to the expansion of the base in Kiev and the opening of new flights in 2019, the low-cost offer on Ukrainian routes, 2.5 million places, which is 45% higher than the 2018. In General, next year will operate 26 routes, including 4 of 10 Kyiv from Lviv and 6 – from Odessa. These routes will be about 120 flights a week. Also in the short term Wizz Air plans to increase the number of destinations from the Ukraine, however, according to Executive Vice President of the company, “all the secrets of the flight company has not disclosed”.
