Washington and Beijing urged Pyongyang to cease provocations and de-escalate the situation
The President of the United States Donald trump and his Chinese counterpart, XI Jinping, called on North Korea to stop provocations. This is stated in a White house statement on the telephone conversation the leaders of the USA and China.
The statement stressed that North Korea “should stop its provocative and escalated behavior.”
During a telephone conversation trump and XI Jinping called the adoption of UN security Council resolutions against North Korea “an important step towards achieving peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula.”
“The presidents also stressed their mutual commitment to nuclear disarmament of the Korean Peninsula,” the statement reads.
It is noted that the leaders of the United States and China have “very close relations”, which can lead to “a peaceful resolution of the DPRK.”
Earlier it was reported that the DPRK military is developing as a “warning” US plan for a start-up of four ballistic missiles, medium-range Hwasong-12, which must fly over the territory of the Japanese prefectures of Shimane, Hiroshima Prefecture, Kochi Prefecture, to cover the distance in km 3356 1 065 seconds (18 minutes) and fall in the 30-40 km from the us base on GUAM.
