Scientists have created a unique solar panels that produce energy using cyanobacteria.
British scientists have developed ultra-thin solar panels that you can use as Wallpaper. Ultra-thin organic battery that can produce energy using cyanobacteria (microorganisms, capable of photosynthesis), was created by a team of scientists from the London College of Saint Martin.
The ink of the cyanobacteria can be printed on paper together with electrically conductive carbon nanotubes. And it can be done with any ordinary inkjet printer.
“Of course, the paper bio-battery can not replace conventional solar panels to generate large amounts of energy, but can be used as small power sources, while safe for the environment and biodegradable, says Andrea Fantuzzi, one of the authors of the study.
