The world anti-doping Agency (WADA) in response to the request RT to comment on the American media about the dismissal of the charges against 95 Russian athletes.

“In relation to this group of athletes is not enough evidence of the guilt of their use of illegal drugs. This decision was made after individual assessment of the WADA for each case. Mention of these athletes in the report of the head of the independent Commission WADA Richard McLaren was deemed insufficient for the assertion that athletes were doped,” he told RT in a press-service of WADA.

The Agency noted that the investigation against one athlete, who is not named, is still ongoing.

The leadership of WADA will discuss the situation with members of the Executive Committee on September 24.

September 13 edition of the New York Times reported that WADA has closed the investigation against 95 Russian athletes. Earlier, the President of the organization Craig reedy confirmed the authenticity of these documents.
