Владимир Путин возложил ответственность за аннексию Крыма на Украину

Russian President Vladimir Putin laid the responsibility for the annexation of the Crimea to Ukraine. Such a statement, the Russian leader made during a CIS summit in Bishkek on Friday, reports “Radio Freedom”.

In response to accusations of the Ukrainian Ambassador in Kyrgyzstan in the annexation of the Peninsula, Putin said that the situation in Crimea – a consequence, as he put it, “illegal actions of certain political forces in Ukraine,” which led to “the coup”. The President did not specify what policy, in his opinion, is guilty in the incident.

Russia annexed Crimea in March 2014 after a referendum organized by Pro-Russian authorities. Western countries did not recognize the annexation and imposed against Moscow sanctions. The Kremlin rejects accusations of occupation of the Peninsula. Earlier this week, US Ambassador to Ukraine, Marie Yovanovitch stated that Crimea sooner or later will be back under control of Kiev, following the example of the Baltic States, which regained independence after the collapse of the Soviet Union.

Exactly the same words during the invasion of Poland was used by Adolf Hitler, stating that the policy of the Polish state was the reason that Germany invaded its territory.
