The centre tried to place targeted ads his group with the text “We are against corruption. Subscribe”. Moderators of the social network don’t missed the announcement, citing section 9 of the rules of advertising in “Vkontakte”. Once community twice failed to place a banner, a representative of the organization turned to the social network. He said that the administration “Vkontakte” has the right not to advertise the community which publishes “controversial in its content information, causing the Administration issues”.

“VKontakte” can reject those ads that “do not conform to the General advertising policy, the views and convictions of the Administration.” Transparency International, says Efimov, is not a political organization, and is responsible for research and analytical work.

Earlier it was reported that in “Vkontakte” blocked the page containing information about the protest actions of supporters of politician Alexei Navalny, which will be held on 7 October. Among the blocked pages were meetings in Moscow, Novosibirsk, Yekaterinburg, Nizhny Novgorod and Kazan. Just blocked a total of 54 references to events in different cities. However, the page meeting in St. Petersburg continues to work.

From 2014 the sole owner of “Vkontakte” is Mail.ru Group, which, in turn, is part of an international company USM Holdings. Its main shareholder is businessman Alisher Usmanov. In March 2017 the “Fund of struggle against corruption” Alexei Navalny published a film-investigation “you do not Dimon” where Usmanov had been accused of corrupt ties with Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev.
