Technology is not standing still.
In December the company Synaptics announced the technology integration of a fingerprint scanner in touchscreen display.
Even then, it was announced that the first smartphone with such a feature will be unveiled at CES 2018. And, in confirmation of rumors, the company Vivo announced the world’s first smartphone with a fingerprint scanner in the display.
As told by the manufacturer, the fingerprint scanner is located between the motherboard and OLED panel. The imprint will be removed by illuminating the finger with light.
The new product is completely ready for mass production and should go on sale in early 2018. It is noted that this fingerprint scanner will provide a level of safety similar to conventional scanners.
