Hong Kong — former British colony — is situated on more than 260 Islands, the largest of which is the eponymous Hong Kong island.

Not everyone knows that a large part of Hong Kong remains undeveloped, since it is dominated by hills and mountains with steep slopes — from 1 104 km2 area of Hong Kong mastered by less than 25 %. The rest of the territory covered by greenery, about 40 % of the announced areas and reserves.

Since 1888 the “Peak tram” was the first funicular in Asia. Its length was 1350 meters and consisted of 5 stops. Now imagine that the angle of elevation of about 45 degrees. Well, isn’t it amazing technology for that time? (Photo By George Rose):

A significant attraction of Hong Kong island, the complex consists of two skyscrapers (1IFC and 2IFC), a shopping center IFC Mall and a 40-storey hotel “Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong”.
