One of the world leaders in the manufacture of products for the food industry, Unilever Food Solutions has announced the winners of the food festival “Architecture of taste”. The award ceremony took place on 1 March at the cooking school “Novikov school”.
The festival “Architecture of taste” was launched in October 2017. Within three months chefs from all over Russia shared their stories about the sources of culinary inspiration, preparing more sets based on products of a brand and fought for the opportunity to win the Grand prize – training in Paris, at the school of culinary legend and owner of a very large number of Michelin stars in the world.
Closing the festival was organized in the format of the legendary Oscar. Guests were welcomed with red carpet to the accompaniment of a jazz band.
The winner of the contest was determined on the event during the final battle of the nine finalists for the title of best chef, during which the nominees prepared their sets and presented them to the guests and the jury.
To sum up the results and choose the winners helped dear chef Moscow:
- Eugene Yugay, brand chef of the chain “Wabi Sabi”;
- Gennady Sukharev, corporate chef, Unilever Food Solutions;
- Sergei Dolgov, the chef-technologist, expert in food safety, Russian and post-Soviet cuisine;
- Anatoly Anoshin, brand chef of the chain of restaurants “Yan Primus”.
The contest among the nine finalists, the jury determined three winners in the following categories:
“The choice of gourmets” – Inna Bushmakina, chef of the restaurant “Echo” the city of Khabarovsk and Sergey Ternov, chef of the restaurant “Trapeza” Belokurikha;
“Dish history” – Ilya Lysenko, brand chef restaurants “Belissimo” the city of Novosibirsk.
The winner of the competition “Architecture of taste” in the category “care” Inna Bushmakina shared his impressions of the final: “I am grateful to Unilever Food Solutions for the chance to test their strength and to share what inspires me in cooking. Today, this process was especially extraordinary! Despite the presence of respected chefs in the jury, I was able to cope with anxiety. To create their dishes inspires me the world and quality ingredients! The delicious taste of Hellmann’s mayonnaise has inspired the creation of a new, bright flavors: raspberry mayonnaise, mayonnaise-Apple water, rain mayonnaise! And it’s very tasty! That’s probably what helped me win! And now I’m looking forward to a trip to France, for me it is a giant step forward!”
