Две новые экзопланеты, возможно, пригодны для жизни, - NASATo such conclusion scientists came by studying the gas clouds that make up the atmosphere of both exoplanets.

Scientists have studied the atmosphere of exoplanets TRAPPIST-the TRAPPIST and 1c-1b, is similar in size to the Earth, after which he came to the conclusion that both planets can be considered “moderate”, which means that they could support life.

To such conclusion scientists came by studying the gas clouds that make up the atmosphere of both exoplanets. Researcher Nicola Lewis from the Institute of space research with the space telescope announced that exoplanets are usually wrapped in a “suffocating hydrogen-helium shell”, in the case of two objects of the studies mentioned above, asphyxiant gases was detected, on the contrary, scientists report that, according to them, the atmosphere of the planets contain water vapor.

The planets revolve around the star TRAPPIST-1, which is from the Sun at a distance of 39.5 light years away. In may 2016, astronomers found that rotates around it at least three extrasolar planets similar to Earth size, and then began to study them. It was found that at least two of them may be partially habitable. To the sun they are closer than Earth to the Sun, but TRAPPIST-1 is much weaker than the Sun, so the planet warms up enough for them in theory could arise and live any organisms.

Scientists report that a number of other parameters of extrasolar planets are similar to planets of the Solar system. Left to figure out what it was — Venus, Mars and maybe the Earth? Planet TRAPPIST-1c rather similar to Venus, about the same amount it receives light, TRAPPIST-1d as little more removed from the sun, what more similarities with Mars, nevertheless it can also be liquid water.

Research is conducted under the guidance of Julien de Vita, the work involved a wide-angle camera of the Hubble telescope, and now scientists collect new data, in parallel, continuing the search for new exoplanets.
