Starting Monday, December 10, at the entrance to jewel of India – Taj Mahal – you’ll have to pay extra. Both tourists and locals.

According to The Indian Express, the entrance to the main mausoleum where the graves of Shah Jahan and Mumtaz Mahal, will now cost tourists an additional 200 rupees ($2.8 m) over the existing tariff. And this applies to both foreigners and Indians. In the end, now the entrance to the Taj Mahal will cost 600 rupees (about us $8.4).

And the cost of services fast line, which also includes a bottle of water (to bring forbidden) and a visit to good toilets, so will grow to 850 rupees ($11,9).

The Indian Express writes that this step, local authorities were forced to reduce the number of visitors to the Taj Mahal. Note, almost a year ago already, it was decided to limit the visit to the Palace three hours to avoid the crush. Apparently, not much help.
