Tourism in Kiev continues.
The first quarter of 2018, has been very successful for tourism of the capital of Ukraine. Local authorities estimate that in the first 4 months of travel amounted to more than 7 million, and 30% more than the same period in 2017.
The head of tourism KCSA Anton Taranenko noted that as of may 24, 2018 tourist tax exceeded the mark of 13.38 million — and this is not the limit. Only a month and a half, the collection has grown almost twice. Now the local authorities are left to count the profits of the capital from the present tourist boom that has gripped Kyiv for the final match of the Champions League.
According to preliminary estimates, the city gathered about 100 thousand tourists from all corners of the planet. Absolutely all the hotels and hostels were booked for the period from 25 to 27 may. In addition, UEFA compensates the Kiev fans free travel in municipal public transport (metro, trams and trolleybuses) in the amount of 100 thousand euros. The good foreigners have joined the Treasury and it is expected that many of them will soon return to Kiev.
