The developers promise to surprise gamers with photo-realistic graphics of our planet using textures and topographic data from Bing Maps.
Many fans of flight simulators look forward to next year, when will release Microsoft Flight Simulator (Flight Simulator 2020) — eleventh part of the famous game series, leading the countdown since 1982. The project is being developed by Asobo Studio and released by the division of Xbox Game Studios exclusively for the Microsoft Store in Windows 10 and Xbox One.
The developers promise to surprise gamers with photo-realistic graphics of our planet using textures and topographic data from Bing Maps. Three-dimensional objects such as terrain, trees, buildings and water, will be created with the use of cloud technologies of Microsoft Azure.
Own game engine Asobo will be able to access more than two petabytes of data from the database Bing. The game will feature more than two million towns and villages, and more than 40 000 real airports all over the world.
In the cities will be vibrant, the roads are filled with vehicles, the water will flow depending on the direction of the wind, and the trees have separate leaves, creating the illusion of a living world. Physical model Microsoft Flight Simulator will make it possible to simulate thousands of interactions, forces and torques between objects.
No less attention to detail will be paid and aeronautical engineering. Project developers do not just use pictures and work directly with real equipment and documentation of these planes, and also consult with professional pilots.
The Studio has unveiled a new video, which focuses on creating an internal environment of cockpits and reliable accuracy. The smallest switch or sensor are a gaming entity, and not a simple texture on the panel.
