The UN is not found in Syria or in the same district, which at the moment can be called the besieged, the conflict in the country coming to an end. This was stated by the adviser on humanitarian issues, the UN special envoy on Syria, Jan Egeland.
“We are starting to see the end of this conflict… today, the UN does not see any area that would fall under the category of the besieged”, — quotes RIA Novosti Egeland.
He noted that the fighting’s almost over in the South-West of Syria, in connection with which the UN can now deliver aid to more areas of the country.
Earlier it became known that the Syrian authorities started the implementation of the state program on the restoration of the settlements freed from militants in the province of Aleppo.
In January, the FAN was told that in Aleppo, Syria resumed the operation of the power plant, destroyed during the conflict.
