Трагедии, унесшие множество человеческих жизней, которые замалчивались в угоду идеологии

Today, almost every news is immediately served to the audience – to discuss it, looking for reasons. But in our history, many tragic events, which brought numerous human victims, which, for the sake of ideology, suppressed and became available only later. Will tell you about some of them…

The Novocherkassk tragedy

In 1962 in Novocherkassk there was a terrible tragedy – the shooting of workers who rebelled against the reduction in costs of labor, which had to be reduced by 30-35%. Shooting people, among whom were children, were immediately hidden from publicity. The victims were urgently evacuated from the city and the worst thing is that their relatives did not know where their relatives are buried. Many even called the Novocherkassk tragedy one of the main reasons for Khrushchev’s removal.
It all started with the fact that NEVZ-e (plant. Budennogo) was working about 12 thousand people. In January 1962 marked the company to reduce wage rates at all plants in the country. And June 1 on the radio announced the “temporary” increase in prices (up 35%) for meat, milk and other products. Many of the workers of Novocherkassk lived in the barracks – the problem of housing was the most acute on the shelves was a shortage of food, and then there’s the higher prices and lower wages.
In 1960, with an average salary of 783 ruble person could buy 1044 kilos of potatoes, in 1961, with an average salary of 81.3 ruble only 246 pounds.
Factory workers were hotly discussing the news and their future life. The situation escalated, the factory Manager Kurochkin, who threw it into the crowd for the phrase: “Not enough money for meat and sausage, eat pies with liver”. The crowd began to shout – so scoff at us and it was the last drop of people’s patience. Work on the plant stopped – went on strike. In order to attract unfortunately much attention of Moscow, stopped the train “Saratov-Rostov” which blocked all the traffic on this site. now, previously to his aching factory whistles, was joined by the whistle of a locomotive. workers flocked to the area. On the first day of the strike, the authorities have taken no steps, in addition to exhortations, and many KGB agents, who conducted the crowd hidden shooting (the witnesses then claimed to have seen sets of images, which were recorded thousands of dead).
The strikers were sent to Novocherkassk garrison (but without weapons), but the soldiers immediately fraternized with the workers and blended in with the crowd, becoming strikers with them.
Which appeared in the evening, armored personnel carriers rocked the crowd, as the light wagon.
Next morning brought the strikers terrible news – the railroad near the plant and the plant itself was surrounded by troops armed with machine guns and tanks stood nearby.
The column outraged workers marched to the city. On the way she was joined by pensioners, students, many of them children. The column reached the main street and stopped on the square in front of the administration building. The intent of the people was quite peaceful – they only wanted to convey their demands, but they were met by tanks. Students swarmed the tank and fright tankers fired a single shot. Interesting point – all guarding the administration of the soldiers were of Caucasian nationality, perhaps the authorities were afraid that the Russian will join the strike. The soldiers were fighting with the demonstrators, resulting in the scuffle one of the soldiers struck the woman with the butt in the face – the crowd broke and broke into the administration building.
The meeting began where it was reported that night were arrested, many were beaten – people marched to the police building, where they again met the barrier of soldiers. One of the workers snatched the soldier’s gun and was killed on the spot. From that moment began shooting indiscriminately at the crowd. People were hiding in the cells for detention, where they were immediately outside was closed on the lock. On the square in front of the people took the officer reported that the order to shoot the strikers. Officer shot right in front of the crowd. He heard the shots, first volley was fired in the air, but the crowd shouted – do not back down, they’re shooting blanks, and the crowd moved towards the soldiers. The soldiers began to shoot over their heads – from the trees fell down sitting there children (later reports indicated that the victims under the age of 16 is not, however, eyewitnesses say that the trees were 8-10 years old).
Looking ahead to say that the time I spent in the 90-ies of the investigation showed that the soldiers in the crowd did not shoot – this was dealt with 10 snipers on the roof of the adjacent hotel and a machine gun mounted there.
For certain how many were killed is still unknown. The bodies were urgently evacuated from the city square, all covered with blood, flushed from the fire engines, then in one night was laid new asphalt, and the next evening in the same square was arranged dances for young people…

Officially confirmed only 26 victims who were secretly buried in different cemeteries. Convicted was at least a hundred people, including a worker, including factory whistle (he was given 10 years).
The official version of events set out in the speech of the member of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the CPSU FR Kozlov at the Novocherkassk radio June 3, 1962:
“hooligan” and criminal elements, covert and overt anti-Soviet, drunkards and outcasts with the help of provocations, threats and coercion knocked right track crowd of irresponsible workers and, despite the efforts of “conscious” – Communists, Komsomol members and “leaders”, took her with him against the Soviets…”
After 40 years activists have engaged in this tragedy, a monument was erected in honor of the victims of the Novocherkassk strike….

In the end the rostrum, “B” closed, opening only a stage “C” where and drove a lot of fans, and after the match some doors and were locked. Under the weight of the crowd gathered at one of the outputs of the collapsed stairs, I started to panic and stampede in which killed, by some accounts, dozens, and some hundreds of people.
The tragedy immediately moved into the category of secret – firstly due to the participation of militia, and secondly, because of the number of victims. According to the official version 66, however, as we have already noted, according to witnesses – a lot more. Only 7 years later journalists, conducted an independent investigation found 340 dead. And this, according to them, not the limit. The perpetrators of the tragedy were not punished, although the relatives appealed to the courts and numerous instances.
In 1992, at the Luzhniki stadium was installed a monument to the victims of the tragedy.

Note that the day before the tragedy was discovered the problem in the fuel system of the rocket, it was recommended to remove it from the test and clean the fuel system. However, Marshal Nedelin was frightened – What would I say to Nikita (Khrushchev)? Leave everything in place. The country is waiting for!

In 1970, the factory “Red Sormovo” in Nizhniy Novgorod was a tragedy that claimed the lives of the people and have suffered a radiation exposure. The construction of the nuclear submarine K-320, which was part of the project “Scat”, located in mechanical shop ended up being incorporated with the reactor, which has operated for 15 seconds at top speed. The result was the radioactive contamination of premises, in which there were about 1000 people. Three of the six victims died of radiation sickness on the same day. All survivors were taken subscription about nondisclosure within 25 years. Treatment of the room and people began only the next day, and in these works were involved about a thousand workers of other shops.
