Секретные разработки Советского Союза. ФотоIn the USSR not only wanted to make dreams come true, but also to bring to life the science fiction.

Telepathy, boats, amphibious, able to break through the earth, space planes – these projects were developed by our scientists.

Of course, these experiments were conducted in secrecy. But the veil of secrecy has been decayed, giving us the opportunity to learn more about those incredible attempts to push the boundaries of reality.

Brain radio

In 1923 an electrical engineer Bernard Kazhinskaya presented their project “brain radio” capable of transmitting impulses of the brain, turning them into signals over great distances.

He expressed the hypothesis that man is a living radio station, which can operate both as a transmitter and as a receiver. Thus, the electromagnetic wave transmitted by one person may be perceived by others if it is configured identically with the transmitting.

The results of his research became a sensation. He was invited with lectures major research institutes and laboratories around the world. Upon returning home, his developments have been recognized as effective and were provided with all conditions to continue the experiments.

17 Mar 1924 in Moscow have passed the first test of the “brain weapons”, allow remote and destructive effects on the body. Strike force become low frequency waves emitted by the “brain radio”. The experiments were carried out on animals, and the essence of the experiment was to get the dog brain signal to take the desired book from the pile and bring it to the members of the Commission.

Dogs are perfectly coped with the task, but then for some reason became absolutely incapable of complying with the usual commands and training. On the future of “brain radio” is little known, but it is obvious that the work is under the direction Kazinskogo soon stopped.

The scientist himself until the end of his days believed in the possibility of creating his invention. He died in 1962, shortly before his death published a second book on “brain radio”, which described in detail his idea and called for its further development.

Flying tank A-40

In 1941, the red Army command put before the chief engineer planned management of the people’s Commissariat of the aviation industry Oleg Antonov difficult task, over which beat more than one generation of designers to levitate the vehicles.

The idea was to create armored vehicles that could move through the air. This would allow to transfer them over to the partisans to strengthen the resistance in the occupied territories. Antonov decided “not to reinvent the wheel, and take light tank T-60, taken into service in the red army, and to attach it a light wooden wings “maize”.

It was assumed that flying tank will be hauled to its destination by air and then using their wings to plan to the desired landing point. Immediately after landing, the wings were supposed to drop, and flying the tank was ready to fight.

But the first and last flight tank A-40 was unsuccessful. Taken to tow the TB-3 bomber could not provide stable flight, even for the most lightweight with the tank drained the fuel, removed the turret and a tool box. The engines have the TB-3 began to overheat from the load under the most favorable conditions, to say nothing about the conditions of military operations.

Space fighter “Spiral”

In the midst of the Cold war in the Soviet Union saw any conditions for the conduct of the war, did not forget about space. In response to the development of the U.S. manned orbital interceptor reconnaissance bomber, the X-20, the Soviet Union decided to create his own aerospace system.

Complex and top-secret task set before the design Bureau 115, where research conducted by chief designer Gleb lozino-Lozinski. The project was called “Spiral”.

He was to become the first space warship, the Soviet Union. Lozino-Lozinsky proposed to create a “Spiral” of three main parts: the hypersonic airplane-responsice (GSR), two-stage rocket booster and the orbital plane.

As planned, the plane rasandik served to achieve a speed of 7.5 thousand km/h and reaching 30 km altitude. Then the orbital plane is separated from the GSR and with the help of rocket boosters reached the first cosmic velocity (7.9 km/c).

Thus, the plane went into orbit and could start to fulfil its own tasks: intelligence, the interception of space targets, bombing space-to-Earth” and so on. The proposed design had several advantages. For example, the rapid achievement of aircraft anywhere in the world and landing under any conditions.

But in the second half of the 70s, when the first machine was built and ready for testing, the project is suddenly closed by the top management. The Soviet defense Minister Andrei Grechko threw away all the documentation, saying that “Fantasy will not engage in”. So was buried prematurely is one of the most advanced space projects of the USSR.

The underground boat “Battle mole”

After the Second world war in the hands of the Soviet leadership were projects of the German underground tanks “Subterrene” and “Snake Midgrade”. They were planned as amphibious vehicles that can move on land, underground and even under water at a depth of 100 meters.

As a result of prolonged studies of drawings by a group of scientists under the guidance of professors G. I. babatha and G. I. Pokrovsky was the verdict: the machine can be used for military purposes. It was felt that such fighting underground boat will be able to get to a strategically important enemy targets and blow them right out of the ground. The explosion in this case can be attributed to the earthquake.

Urgently were allocated personnel and funds to establish its own underground tank, which received the code name “battle mole”. Machine was created in a nuclear reactor, able to move through the earth at a speed of 7 km/h.

The results of the first test in the Ural mountains was struck by all: “mole”, infiltrating into the soil without any complications, was 15 km and destroyed a simulated enemy bunker. It was a complete success.

Repeat the experiment but suddenly ended in complete disaster. Subterrene for unknown reasons exploded, the entire team was killed. The project was suspended, and under Brezhnev it was finally closed.

Attomole

In 50-ies of XX century, in the midst of the cold war, the Soviet Union and the United States is developing the “peaceful atom”. Together with the progress in this area, a reasonable question arises: is it possible to use nuclear energy for military purposes?

For example, in aviation as an alternative to kerosene. The latter has at least two big disadvantages – first, its small energy consumption, and secondly, high consumption during the flight. Replacing it with a product of a nuclear reaction would not only cut costs, but would increase the residence time of ships in the air almost indefinitely.

And in the context of the Cold war, in the absence of the two opposing sides of ballistic missiles, the two superpowers was in need of the means of delivery of nuclear bombs. In these circumstances, the USSR and the USA begins top-secret work on the first tomalito.

In early April 1955, after confirming Soviet physicists of the ability to build a nuclear power plant for airplanes, the Council of Ministers of the USSR issued the order, under which the design Bureau Tupolev, S. A. Lavochkin and Myasishchev M supposed to create a heavy aircraft with a nuclear power plant.

Moreover, the work was conducted separately to enhance the competition factor. The engine-reactor was commissioned Bureau Nikolai Kuznetsov and Arkhip Cradles. But the developers immediately faced with a serious problem, the consequence of nuclear reaction – radiation.

When servicing of the aircraft mortal danger were exposed not only to the crew members, and ground staff. According to preliminary calculations, project attomole M-60 was to “fonit” a couple of months after the flight.

In addition, scientists are unable to find an answer how to protect the atmosphere from nuclear remnants. Single start of a missile or aircraft with a nuclear engine was supposed to create around himself is dead, the infected area.

Finally, the possibility of the crash of the plane with a nuclear reactor on Board finally decided the fate of tomollow. As he said later Dr. Herbert York, one of the program Directors of tomollow in the United States: “first, the planes sometimes fall.

And the idea that somewhere flies a nuclear reactor, which may suddenly fall, was unacceptable.” The possibility of a crash, automatically became environmental, served as a sobering factor in the race to create the first atonalite. Development programmes have been curtailed in the USSR and the USA in the 1960-ies.
