Modern smartphones come with a bunch of preinstalled apps, most of which are useless, and cannot be removed without rooting. This applies to both iOS and Android devices, but soon things will change for the better.

The Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia (FAS) will allow the Russians to remove preinstalled on gadgets without any dances with a tambourine, and it will be done at the level of the law. The corresponding project is already in development and will soon be provided to government for consideration – the preparation of the document will be completed by April 2019, that is very soon. The FAS decided to intervene: in fact, pre-installed users because of its inertness is used most often, and thus this distorts competition in the market.

Antimonopoly service will fix it together with Rospotrebnadzor and the Ministry of communications, which take active part in the development of the bill. For ordinary users this means the ability to cut any unnecessary software from the smartphone, including regular browsers and advertising applications, which can often be found in mobile phones sold in our country.
