The Ministry of health is studying the possibility of legalizing marijuana.
The Ministry of health of Romania set up a Commission to examine the possibility of legalizing marijuana for medical purposes. This was stated by the Minister of Finance of Romania Eugen Teodorovici.
“There is such a Commission in the Ministry of health, which will analyze and discuss the issue of legalizing marijuana for medical purposes”, – said the Minister.
According to Teodorovici, the legalization of marijuana may contribute to the more effective provision of health care to patients with cancer.
The head of the Ministry of Finance also stressed that the Committee members will study the European and world practice of legalization of marijuana and its use for medical purposes.
Previously, the Romanian deputies acted with legislative initiatives on marijuana legalization, however, in Parliament, this question was not discussed.
