The last test, which took place in September 2017, still causes earthquakes.
A new impetus was recorded in the meteorological service of South Korea. It happened in one of the provinces of the DPRK today, January 2. The magnitude was 2.8, and the epicenter is 11 kilometers from the nuclear test site, Pungere.
The latest North Korean nuclear test was in September 2017 and it was the most powerful. Right after the test there was an artificial earthquake of magnitude of 6.3.
Earlier, North Korea stated that the DPRK denuclearization will hold only if the United States will not be a nuclear threat.
At the end of may, the DPRK solemnly and “in camera” eliminated the already largely outside the nuclear site, Pungere. In June, trump and Kim met at a historic summit in Singapore, signing a document on the denuclearization of the DPRK under the guarantee of the United States for 2.5 years.
