December 2017 in Russia was the tenth consecutive month when she took first place in terms of oil supplies to China. During the reporting period, the Chinese side received 5.03 million tons of “black gold”, the newspaper reports rns.online, citing information from the General administration of customs of China.
This figure is only slightly below the level of the similar period of 2016 – the difference was 0.2%. It is worth noting that in 2017 Russia has supplied China with 59.7 million tons, equivalent to 1,194 million barrels per day. This figure rose by 13.8% compared to the previous year.
The second after Russian supplier of oil to China became Saudi Arabia. The Chinese side has received from the Kingdom 52.2 million tons of “black gold” for the whole of 2017. Growth of imports from Saudi Arabia in the annual ratio amounted to 31.7%. In December, the Saudis have supplied the Chinese of 4.71 million tons of oil.
With regard to the supply of oil to China from Angola and Iraq – these indicators fell in annual terms by 6.6% and 39%.
