The international Olympic Committee (IOC) continues to generate lists of Russian athletes eligible for the Olympic games in Pyeongchang in neutral status.

First Vice-President of the Russian Olympic Committee (ROC) Stanislav Pozdnyakov said about the new mass removal of the Russian athletes at the upcoming Games in Pyeongchang.

The Olympics will act as the main medal hope of Russia – the Olympic champion of Sochi-2014 biathlete Anton Shipulin, the sixfold Olympic champion in short track Viktor Antonov and two-time world champion in skiing Sergey Ustyugov. All in all, the IOC has reduced the preliminary list of Russian participants from 500 to 389. Not earlier than 27 January will be known that Russians will be able to speak in Pyeongchang.

“Today we sent to the IOC an official letter with the request for specific reasons why the leaders of the Russian national teams in a number of sports not included in the list of potential participants of the Olympic games”, – quotes the words] “Sport-Express”.

According to sports agent Andrew Mitkova, the IOC was not allowed to the Olympics in Pyeongchang any party to the scandalous games of 2014 in Sochi.
After the new sanctions against Russian athletes assistant to the President of Russia Vladimir Putin recommended that the winter sports federations to boycott the Olympic games in Pyeongchang.

Winter Olympic games-2018 will be held from 9 to 25 February in Pyeongchang (South Korea). More than 2,500 athletes from 94 countries will compete in the 102 sets of medals in 7 sports (15 disciplines).
