Эпидемия банкротств

In Russia continues to increase the number of bankruptcies among businesses amid economic stagnation and the pressure of the tax authorities, efforts which the state patches and the Federal budget.

In November 1166 of the companies pleaded insolvent and left the market, estimated by experts of the Center for macroeconomic analysis and short-term forecasting, the findings of which leads to RBC.

The number of bankruptcies in Russia, churning out records on a monthly basis: the previous high was set in October, and the November figure was unprecedented for the time of crisis. It is 5% higher than the peak of March 2015, when the background of Western sanctions and the collapse of oil prices, the Russian economy went into the longest in 20 years recession.

In relative terms (as a share of the bankrupt among all registered legal entities) “mortality” of the business is close to the historical record, which was delivered at the end of the crisis in 2009, says says.

The number of bankruptcies is increasing at least since the beginning of the year, and although it is “slightly lagging indicator in relation to the acute phase of the crisis,” now “fade is long enough, so we see quite a long deterioration,” notes the head of the real sector of the CMASF Vladimir Salnikov.

The decline in industrial production and contraction in effective demand partly explain what is happening, he says, the business is actively pushing the tax.

Statistics of Rosstat and the Ministry of Finance confirms that in January-September, profit in the economy fell by 8.8%, and fees income tax profit rose by a third. Additional business for the tax audits for the first half rose by 20% to 220 billion rubles.

Faster than other “extinct” companies of the construction sector, which fell by 20% over the three years of crisis due to the reduction of the state order and the collapse of incomes in the third quarter declared itself bankrupt nearly 700 construction firms, pleaded bankrupt for 9 months – 1951.

What is happening is only the tip of the iceberg. Surveys of top managers indicate that in the verge of bankruptcy are 16-18% of all legal entities in the construction market, said the Director of the Center for market research HSE George Ostapkovich: they do not have the financial resources to pay for the loans, and the portfolio is declining from quarter to quarter.

Almost 18% increase in the number of bankruptcies in the trade. In the sector of commercial services of the insolvent admitted 557 exhibitors, a record since 2007. The number of bankruptcies in the industry (55) was the highest since 2009, in mechanical engineering (85) – in 2010, follows from the statistics of the CMASF.

Bankrupt small and medium businesses, while large have access to capital and support for the state formal or informal, says founder, Sapiens Consulting Svyatoslav Biryulin.

“Small and medium-sized businesses that often do not. In the coming years, it is not necessary to hope for improvement in the external environment,” he says: the prerequisites for oil has risen, and the capital fell, there is not expected. “The state has consistently and methodically comes to small business from the restrictions of the use of imputed tax to USAIS and electronic checks. In the coming years, this attack, apparently, will continue,” warns Biryulin.
