After the House of Commons adopted the amendment giving Parliament greater control over the process of a British exit from the EU, the chance to stop Brexit “equal to zero”, said on Thursday the Minister of international trade of the Kingdom Liam Fox. The Minister called Parliament’s decision “a decisive step”, after which there is no turning back.

“That no one was left in doubt the chances that the UK will stop the process of exit from the EU is zero”, – said L. Fox quoted by the British media.

The House of Commons supported the amendment on the provision to Parliament for additional powers of control over the process of withdrawal from the EU. According to this decision, the government is now required to obtain the approval of the legislature before you make a final agreement with Brussels on the terms of withdrawal from the EU. Earlier this week, the House of lords in favour of granting the right of Parliament to veto the final agreement between London and Brussels. Voted 354 member of the upper house of the British Parliament, against – 235. Thereafter, the amendment was submitted for consideration to the House of Commons.

The representative of the British Prime Minister Theresa may said that the government opposes this initiative because it “could undermine the ability of negotiation so that to get a good deal for Britain”.

The process of a British exit from the EU was launched on 29 March 2017 after eurosceptics a majority vote won in the referendum in 2016. Earlier in London said that the UK will officially complete the process of withdrawal from the European Union on 29 March 2019.
