Австралиец признался, что он создал BitcoinCraig Wright has stated that he invented and created Bitcoin.

Australian publicly admitted that he is the Creator of the cryptocurrency Bitcoin.

His confession he made in an interview with three publications – Bi-bi-si, GQ and the Economist.

At a meeting with bi-Bi-si, Wright left electronic signature, using cryptographic keys that were created when the bitcoin system was just beginning to develop.

These same keys were used to create the first batch of bitcoins. In January 2009, bitcoins were transferred to the cryptographer Hal Finney – it was the first deal with cryptocurrency.

The Creator of bitcoins was considered a man by the name of Satoshi Nakamoto. For a long time journalists were trying to find someone who is hiding behind this nickname.

Many publications were published investigations in which different people are called creators of bitcoins.

Wright decided to put an end to the speculation, promising to publish information which would confirm that he is the Creator of bitcoin.

He also explained that in creating the cryptocurrency he was helped by an extensive team of developers.

In December last year, the magazines Wired and Gizmodo has published investigations in which Wright called the Creator of bitcoin. After this, Australian authorities searched the home of Wright. He said that the searches were linked to an investigation concerning the payment of taxes.

“I really don’t want to be the public face of something,” said Wright in an interview with bi-Bi-si, expressing regret at the fact that he was forced to reveal his identity.

“I want to work, I want to continue to do what I want. I don’t want money. I don’t want fame. I don’t want adoration. I want to be left alone”, – he added.

Now with bitcoin you can pay for many goods and services on the Internet. In circulation are approximately 15.5 million bitcoins. One bitcoin is worth about $ 449.

Authorities in many countries, including Russia, treat bitcoin with suspicion. The head of the Russian Central Bank Elvira Nabiullina has repeatedly stated that he sees many risks in the development of the market of bitcoins.

The Ministry of Finance of Russia has warned that bitcoin may be used in the shadow economy.
