Stevenson after the fight with the Carnations had surgery


Former world champion light heavyweight champion Adonis Stevenson (29-2-1, 24 KO’s) is in serious condition after fight with Ukrainian Alexander Stud (16-0, 12 KO’s).

Last Saturday in Quebec city Stevenson in the 11th round knockout lost a Carnation, and he resigned the world champion under version WBC. After the battle the Canadians became ill, he was rushed to the hospital where it turned out that a boxer is bleeding in the brain. To stabilize the condition Stevenson was placed in an artificial coma.

“Stevenson had surgery in the night from Saturday to Sunday and then was placed in the intensive care unit. He suffered a serious head injury. In the circumstances, his situation is stable but it is critical.

His condition requires respiratory care, deep sedation and special neurological monitoring. Too early to assess the long-term forecast,” – said the doctor of the hospital in Quebec Alexis Targon.

Carnations are not remained aloof from the problems of his former rival. On his page in Instagram Kharkov wrote a message to Stevenson:

“Adonis, you’re a very strong person, keep going to be. I wish you to recover faster. You know, you’re gonna get it,” said Nail.

Defeated by Alexander the Carnation was for Adonis Stevenson’s second career knockout. In 2010 year, the canadian veteran prematurely lost to Darnell Boone.
