Earlier news Agency ura.ru scanned published a warning about the upcoming changes to the employment contract, received by one of workers of Kachkanar GOK. These changes are explained in the document “implementation of measures to ensure the competitiveness of commodity products of JSC “EVRAZ KGOK” and to increase the interest of the collective enterprise in achieving the planned production and economic performance of the plant. With dissenting employees, the document said, will be terminated a contract of employment. The new system should take effect from 1 July 2016.

In an interview with RBC Pyankov said that the prices of products of the GOK in the past six months have only increased. The reduction of salaries has been linked with issues within the entire group. He added that the current “Italian strike” is the fourth in the history of the plant and that activity of the Union allowed the employees to achieve the existing high salaries.
KGOK is among five largest ore mining enterprises in Russia. Revenue in 2014 amounted to RUB 26 billion of the company’s financial data for 2015 yet). In 2015, the plant produced 3.5 million tonnes of sinter and 6.5 million tonnes of pellets. Main consumer of the products is the Nizhny Tagil metallurgical combine — another division of Evraz.
