Shovel from Finland, the rakes of South Africa

Western sanctions on Russia are walking for a long time, but the store is full of imported goods. Not only exclusive but also the most simple things, the creation of which requires neither delicate craftsmen or thoughtful engineers or advanced programmers. They are, apparently, laws do not apply. I can see a snide smile foreign exporters: “You can’t make? Okay, we give you a hand!”

But such “assistance” ordinary Russians are ashamed. For example, me. Recently I saw in the store the scoop for gardening from… Mexico. It is necessary so to contrive, to find for many thousands of kilometers from Russia and to bring this thing down.

However, the “fancy” imported goods that can be purchased in Moscow stores. Going recently in Moscow “garden center” on Broad street, saw the sale of the pruning shears “Samurai” from Japan, leash for dog from Germany, a wire from Switzerland, from Finland shovel, paint from Germany. And so forth laughter and tears.

Why do we buy these and other simple things? Cheap? Not at all. That is, is generally very expensive. Although it is easy to explain. The reason for the high cost — the wrapping, the usual blatant cheat. Buy some dealers thing, relatively speaking, for two dollars, sold for five or six. For example, German coffee machine Philips, bought in Germany, can cost about 40 (!) percent cheaper than the same camera bought in the Russian shop. The same can be said of other appliances.

But that’s the word. We’re not talking about complicated things simple. However, in this case referred to the scheme. The issue price, so to speak.

Where is the common sense? Why are we spending currency on pruning shears, shovels, leashes for dogs? Why support manufacturers whose fate we should be to the bulb? By the way, bulbs is also full of imported — in particular, the Chinese.

You can still understand with sadness mixed with confusion — buying abroad of modern household appliances, precision machine tools, sophisticated machines. And at the same time to remember that there was a time and money — when oil was prohibitively expensive to re — equip the economy to make it strong and competitive. Alas, the funds have gone nowhere, or rather was successfully stolen.

You can grieve about missed opportunities, difficult economic problems and other difficulties, but really it’s so bad that we buy abroad is not only the above simple things, but others are the same? This — laugh and cry! — clothes brush, brooms from Finland, sickles, hoes, picks from Switzerland, the axes (and axes with a shovel in box), garden shears from China, a rake and a pitchfork from South Africa. The list is long.

Know whether the Prime Minister, the Ministers of his Cabinet, State Duma deputies, governors and mayors, on the shelves of Russian stores imposingly sprawled above the import thing — nails, screws, knives and forks, door hinges again from abroad. Can it be true statesmen and officials no shame? For themselves, for power?!

According to the Federal customs service (FCS), the import of goods from foreign countries for the first four months of this year increased by 22.7%, reaching 53,319 billion. In this summary there are figures regarding food, clothes, shoes, machines and units. But no numbers, how many more brushes, shovels, leashes sent to Russia, its trading partners?

There is a lot of talk of import substitution and much is being done in this direction. There are already concrete results, and probably still will. But the simple things we don’t do, or rather, stopped doing it.

By the way, in the Soviet Union such ugliness was not observed. Then released all sorts of simple things. I won’t speak about the quality, but somehow they did. In any case, the country is not humiliated by their purchases abroad.

But why now all changed? Maybe we were overcome impotence full production and economic collapse?

No, and to manufacture simple but necessary domestic goods, of course, possible. Only one does not do so, no one monitors it. The government keeps telling about global politics, Economics, exchange rates, oil prices, and unwilling to condescend to ordinary people and simple things.

At the time of the popular newspaper category, invented, it seems, journalists of “Literary newspaper”. It was called “If the Director was I…” In this section, readers offered a solution to various problems. Today I want to make your small voice.

How many in Russia is destroyed, closed, disused factories? The horror! Many enterprises stand idle, how many workers sit without salaries and without hope for the future? Nightmare! So why these factories do not organize the production of simple but necessary things in life? People would not only not only got the job, existence, but would decrease social tension, the degree of which increases constantly and, God forbid, reaches a critical temperature.

Why the authorities — I do not know which Agency should do this — not to determine the degree of importance of imported goods? If you can be able to produce such-and-then — immediately begin to act. And just as quickly stop using foreign manufacturers and close the path to profit shamelessly for Russian exporters, shamelessly raising prices. A small but angry remark in the address of the last — look abroad, ladies and gentlemen, the goods that really need Russia and Russians!

Long ago I heard an amusing story. During the Soviet Union, the Japanese supposedly have bought the broken glass. It went to the land of the rising sun, mind you, in wooden boxes. They needed a cunning Japanese! They used cheap containers for the manufacture of high quality furniture. And it was sent for export to the USSR!

In this story — or legend? not missing a beat. What the Japanese did with the broken glass? I don’t think they are thrown into the sea or buried in the ground. Surely vouchsafed to any trick and used the debris. And, I am sure, with the benefit. So they wilt.

Are we worse? AU, the Russian “left-handed”, Kulibin, sharp-witted engineers and skilled workers! Surely stewed to death? No! Just sadly silent, without a job and without money…

Yesterday I accidentally cut my finger and covered the wound with a bandage. By long-standing habit to read labels on the label. It turned out that the patch made in China. Well then hurry up two domestic firms — one to deliver the goods to Russia, the other put in the trade network.

And those and others certainly proved to be with fat. Well, we are buyers out in the cold. As always.
