Ученые раскрыли тайну возникновения колец СатурнаThe rings of Saturn, Neptune and Uranus appeared from the broken planets.

The rings of Saturn, Neptune and Uranus are composed of fragments of dwarf planets, which are very long-got too close to the planets-giants, and they were destroyed, according to Japanese scientists

Their hypothesis, they present the study in the journal Icarus.

Astronomers believe that thousands of celestial bodies the size of Pluto shortly after the formation of the Solar system inhabited the Kuiper belt – the ring of cold objects beyond the orbit of Neptune. But 4 billion years ago Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune migrated.

The gravitational influence sent many objects to the center of the Solar system that became the beginning of the era of increased cosmic collisions, known as the Late heavy bombardment.

A team of researchers from the University of Kobe in Japan has calculated that a certain amount of scatter in the Kuiper belt objects probably flew close to the giant planets and were torn apart by a powerful attraction.

In addition, a computer simulation done by the researchers showed that up to 10% of the debris in orbit of the giant planets. Besides these fragments, probably regularly crashed into each other, reflecting little pieces, of which today comprise the rings of Saturn, Uranus and Neptune.
