A meteorite brought from space life, however, it is possible that they are “boiled water” for protobalanus, which originated the first microorganisms.

If previously, scientists believed that the first organic molecules such as glycine, were brought from space, then a new hypothesis is that the meteorites could create on our planet conditions for the formation of the first carbon chains and more complex compounds, which then developed the first living creatures.

A team of geochemists from Trinity College, Dublin, explored the second largest impact crater of the Earth, Sudbury (Ontario, Canada). His age — almost 2 billion years; during this time, geological processes have changed his appearance and pushed the ancient layers to the surface. “For a geologist is like a trip back in time,” says Professor Kamber, head of the study.

The first time the crater was working like a kettle with a heating element at the bottom: the lower part of it was hot rocks. The water that filled the “kettle”, led to a reaction in which precipitation fell. This geothermal activity, according to scientists, led to the appearance in the crater of the first organic compounds.

Almost all the rocks inside the crater of black color due to the carbon content. Earlier accumulation of carbon was due to alluviation from the outside, however, the study of the Camber has led to the conclusion that the real reason for this microorganisms inhabiting the basin of the crater. They are also responsible for the depletion of those compounds, which presumably served them food, such as residues of sulfuric acid, and molybdenum containing compounds.

“It is obvious that the basin of the crater for a long time had no access to the open ocean, which means that all these geochemical features are evidence of the existence in it of living organisms”.
