Scientists have learned a surprising fact about exoplanets

Ученые узнали удивительный факт об экзопланетахThe formation and development of exoplanets with all its details, will long constitute one of the leading and relevant in the modern astrophysics.

Here astronomers from the University of Virginia, using previously obtained data from the Kepler satellite, NASA has only managed to move forward on this issue – they found that a particular type of chemical composition of the planet significantly affects how and to what extent this affects the planet closest to her body space, including other planets and stars. Especially if it is the largest planet in a particular region.

As pointed out by Robert Wilson, the leader of the research project, the existence of this linkage, they most likely would be still unknown if the team decided to measure the amount of different chemical compounds in different exoplanets. They found that the planet – especially the host-the planets – which are very rich in iron, greatly affect the behavior of the respective planets and stars, whose orbital period could be less than 8 days.

Conversely, the fewer iron has a Central exoplanet, the more its impact on the most distant planet from it, in which the orbital period and the radius is noticeably larger. It should be noted that such a detailed and careful study and measurement of chemical substances in extrasolar planets became possible due to accurate data from the satellite Kepler from NASA, but rather by the SDSS program.

This separate type of program for the study of planet – Sloan Digital Sky Survey and allowed us to accurately measure composite chemical compositions of exoplanets, early seen by the satellite Kepler. Since the satellite from NASA is designed to study the chemical composition, a team of astronomers have used the latest updated data with this program. It is worth noting that a further study of the interdependence between Central and subordinate exoplanets, in theory, will allow to delve deeper into the process of their emergence and development in different parts of known space.
