Scientists were struck by his opening
Scientists have announced the discovery of water on the planet in the star system HR 8799 dot using the Keck telescope.
It is now known that the exoplanet HR 8799 dot with a gas giant, which is several times more than Jupiter. Moreover, the atmosphere of the planet is water and no methane.
The scientists also noted that they were able to be observed with the help of two telescopic technology at the Observatory of Kesk. The first is adaptive optics. It eliminates the blur effect that is created by the Earth’s atmosphere. The second is the spectrometer high-resolution NIRSPEC, which works in infrared light.
It is known that by this time astronomer managed to photograph a huge number of exoplanets. The latest system HR 8799 dot is only the first system with multiple planets, which managed to take a picture thanks to optics. However, the image is only the first step in this study.
After you create a snapshot, scientists can analyze it to study the chemical composition of the atmosphere.
“This type of technology is exactly what we want to use in the future to search for signs of life on a planet like Earth. We’re not there yet, but we are moving forward,” says Dimitri Mau, associate Professor of astronomy and co-author of a new study.
I should add that the discovery does not mean that outside on the planet is the oceans. However, it is known that the temperature of the upper atmosphere is more than 800 degrees Celsius.
However, it is worth noting that the national space Agency has unveiled the timing of the colonization of Mars.
In particular, the Ministry noted that the purpose built unit will sit on the surface of the red planet on November 26.
“For the first time in six years, the new mission will land on Mars. On 26 November, the InSight Mars Rover from NASA landed on the red planet in 15 hours (Washington – ed.)” – they say at NASA.
Also reported that the main objective of the InSight Rover will be the study of the inner part of Mars. As says General Director of the NGO Planetary Society bill Nye, the InSight will drill the land of Mars, which in turn will allow you to learn more details about how it was formed, not only the red planet but also our native Land.
