Scientists have discovered what determines a person’s character

Ученые выяснили, от чего зависит характер человекаThey believe that it is not only in the education and human environment.

There are many ways and epithets to describe someone’s character – for example, “is talkative” “hard-working”, “organized”…

Psychologists have long found that many traits often go hand in hand and placed them in five comprehensive categories: “introversion-extraversion”, “neuroticism”, “friendliness”, “openness” and “conscientiousness”. Category “introversion-extraversion” determines the interaction with other people. Extroverts love to be around others and, as a rule, use of social contacts, introverts are the opposite.

A new study shows that the brains of extroverts are paying more attention to “reading” the expressions on the human faces than the brains of introverts. In fact, the brain of the introverts, it seems, not even able to distinguish between “expression” of inanimate objects and human faces. This may partly explain why extroverts are more motivated in seeking the company of their own kind than are introverts who prefer to spend time with a good book than with a group of friends.

The results of the research specialists from the Institute of biological Sciences, the Salk in La JOLLA also add arguments to the theory that the formation of the personality or individuality of the person determine neural differences in the brain. “We found further evidence that personality is not just a concept in psychology. And we have a chance to understand the neural bases of formation of different types of personality”, – told the authors.
