Saw vaper? Run!

Sensational in the new study, published in the journal Pediatrics, found out why we should stay away from vapers. Mark Rubinstein University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) and his colleagues analyzed urine samples from a group of children under the age of 16.

67 children used only the electronic cigarette while 17 used as electronic cigarettes and traditional cigarettes with tobacco. The researchers then compared their results with 20 teenagers who did not smoke.

The results showed that fans of electronic cigarette levels of toxic organic compounds exceeds three times than non-Smoking adolescents. On the other hand in adolescents using both electronic and tobacco cigarette levels of toxic organic compounds more than three times than those who smoke electronic cigarette.

The researchers said that the results should be a warning about hidden dangers of electronic cigarettes.

“Teenagers should be warned that the steam produced by electronic cigarettes is safe water vapor. In fact, it contains some of the same toxic chemicals contained in the smoke of traditional cigarettes,” said Rubinstein . “Teenagers need to breathe air, rather than products with toxins in them.”

Among the compounds researchers have found acrolein, Acrylonitrile, CROTONALDEHYDE, propylene oxide and acrylamide, which belong to the class of chemicals called volatile organic compounds (VOCS). Toxic VOCS are also present in traditional tobacco products.

How dangerous vaping?

Researchers have confirmed that some of the toxic chemicals were found in Teens who used flavored cigarettes without nicotine. Foods with a fruity aroma, in particular, produce a greater amount of Acrylonitrile, and that’s a concern, because the fruit flavors, tend to be most popular among teenagers.

An earlier study also found that the flavors of cinnamon and vanilla can cause lung damage, regardless of whether they contain nicotine.

Rubinstein said that glycerin and propylene glycol, which are used to store liquid forms of the products smoked in the electronic cigarettes are considered safe at room temperature. Unfortunately, they can produce toxic and potentially carcinogenic substances when they are heated to high temperatures required for evaporation.

“Although the pairs of e-cigarettes may be less dangerous than tobacco smoke, our results can be used to challenge the idea that the vapor electronic cigarettes safe, because many of the volatile organic compounds that we identified are carcinogenic,” write the researchers in their study.

And then I remember that in the UK going to sell wapi in pharmacies, they supposedly help people get rid of tobacco dependence. By this logic, pharmacies can sell the rope with soap, and other paraphernalia, which will also help people to fight their addictions.
