South Korean manufacturer Samsung smartphone in the third quarter of 2017, as in the past quarter, has become the leader in supplying smartphones in the world. This is stated in the study by the research firm International Data Corporation.

As noted, the company has delivered 9.5% more phones yoy – 83.3 million pieces.

In addition, the share of Samsung in the smartphone market increased to 22.3% from 20.9% a year earlier. For comparison, the American Corporation Apple for three months of the reporting set of 46.7 million smartphones (an increase of 2.6% in annual terms), its market share remained at the previous year’s level of 12.5%.

OPPO company increased shipments by 19% in annual terms, to 30.7 million smartphones (market share reached 8.2% vs. 7.1 percent a year earlier).

Chinese Xiaomi is again on the fifth place among the largest suppliers of smartphones in the world by volumes. The company increased deliveries in annual expression more than 2 times, to 27.6 million smartphones. Its market share increased to 7.4% compared with 3.7% in the reporting period, the company informed.

“The reason for the growth was the high demand in the Indian market,” says IDC.
