Russia climbed one position and took the 26th place in the ranking of the best countries in the world according to American magazine US News & World Report.
States were evaluated on nine criteria, including the development of the tourism industry, social sphere, culture, innovation, growth, openness for business, the overall standard of living and influence on the world stage and historical heritage.
First place in the ranking, which included 80 countries, take Switzerland. It is followed by Canada, Germany (up one place), UK (down one place). Completing the list of Serbia (78th place), Angola (79) and Algeria (80).
According to the criterion of power and influence in the world Russia ranked second, behind only the U.S., and the third place in this line went to China.
The rate of growth of GDP Russia “with one of the largest economies in the world,” ranked eighth. According to this criterion, the leaders are UAE, India and Singapore.
At the end of October it became known that Russia was placed at the 35th place on the ease of doing business in the annual ranking of the world Bank’s Doing Business, rising over the year by five positions.
