The Russian Olympic Committee (ROC) paid to the International Olympic Committee (IOC) 15 million dollars. About it reports AFP with reference to its sources Wednesday, February 21.
Payment of this amount is one of the conditions of partial or complete recovery of Russia’s membership in the IOC. It is noted that the question of the restoration of the ROC rights will be considered on February 24.

The ROC membership in the IOC was suspended on 5 December 2017 following the results of investigation of doping fraud. At the same time, the Russian team was barred from participating in the Olympic games in Pyeongchang. In addition, the Russian Committee is obliged to reimburse the costs of investigation and pay a $ 15 million, which will focus on the establishment of an independent system of testing athletes.
Earlier, IOC had already considered the possibility of restoring OKR rights until the end of the Olympic games in Pyeongchang, which will last until February 25.
