Amid strained in the suburbs the problems of waste disposal Rostov oblast refused the offer of German investors on the construction of modern plant for the disposal of waste and generation of useful products. The reason – concerns to raise tariffs for the population.
The problem of waste disposal has become one of the most main in the Moscow region, where more than a month continued active citizens ‘ protests against gas emissions from landfills. From these emissions has already affected hundreds of people who were forced to seek help from doctors. Moscow and Moscow oblast, the region is large, produces millions of tonnes of waste every year and therefore became “the weakest link”. But the problem is all-Russian character, and sooner or later will arise in other places.
Rostov region is already suffering from a brood of unauthorized dumps. In February, eight heads of regional administrations are already fined for the sum more than 2,8 million rubles for the organization dumps on agricultural lands. In just the past year specialists of the Department has identified 66 of unauthorized dumps and landfill fires in agricultural lands with a total area of 39 hectares. In the heart of Rostov-on-don in the same month, burned the landfill area of 150 square meters. And there was a German investor, who offered to solve the problem in a civilized way and to build a modern plant in the territory of Aksai district, but he refused. Why?
“The system in Germany is somewhat different than in Russia. There are approximately 200 organizations that are engaged in this system. They lay expensive equipment, its cost, including impact on rates. We walked more carefully, so that it did not significantly affect the tariff policy”, – said Minister of housing and communal services of the Rostov region Andrey Mayer.
“In December last year, the German company has expressed a desire to build recycling plant in a former quarry in the aksaysky area, – informs rostovgazeta.ru. Then the project was approved by the Governor of Rostov region Vasily Golubev. It was planned that the region will include not only recycling, but also manufacture from it of various products. German investors planning to begin to produce garbage into electricity”.
