On the island of Phuket January 21, an accident, which killed two of the Russians, have informed RBC in the Russian Embassy in Thailand.

“On the evening of the same day the Russian Embassy was notified by the staff of the Phuket police about the incident. We confirm the deaths of two citizens of Russia. To date, nothing to add,” said the Embassy.

As the portal to The Phuket News, the incident occurred on the night of 22 January on the road Baan don — Cherng — Talay. They faced a minivan and a Nissan Almera. As told police the minivan driver, Nissan flew into the oncoming lane and crashed into his car. The police found that the driver of the Nissan was a citizen of Ukraine Artem Serdyukov, he was hospitalized. His passenger — a 67-year-old Lewisia Samigullina and 68-year-old Lily Malikov died.

Police began investigating the incident. Citizen a scheduled examination for alcohol and drugs in the blood. He has not yet filed any charges.

The Russians, according to the police, arrived on Phuket on 23 December 2017, and lived in a Villa in the resort village of Kamala.
