Federica Mogherini has cancelled a visit to Minsk, where he was to sign a visa facilitation regime with the EU.
EU high representative Federica Mogherini has cancelled his visit to Belarus, where she was to participate in the meeting in the framework of the Eastern partnership. This was reported by the Brussels correspondent Rikard Jozwiak, reports the Chronicle.info with reference to korrespondent.net.
“Mogherini cancelled his visit to Belarus later this week, due to some changes in the agendas of participants and follow-up contacts with the Belarusian masters,” wrote Rikard Jozwiak.
According to Deutsche Welle, the information about the cancellation of the visit of Mogherini in Minsk confirmed the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Lithuania. It also became known that Minsk will not come and the head of the Lithuanian foreign Minister Linas Linkevičius. In addition, because of the mourning in connection with death of the father of the Prime Minister of Poland Cornelia Moravcova to Belarus there will arrive the foreign Minister of Poland Jacek Czaputowicz.
It was reported that on 4 October in Belarus Mogherini was to meet with Prime Minister Sergei Roumas, and October 5, with President Alexander Lukashenko. During his stay in Minsk was planned to sign the agreement with EU on simplification of visa regime and reduction of fees for Schengen visas for Belarusians to 35 euros.
