Reflections on equality. Religion

Размышления о равенстве. Религия

In many countries religion is separated from state. The Constitution says that everyone is equal, regardless of religious beliefs. But, oddly enough, it’s not. Take religious holidays. In Europe the major holidays are Catholic holidays. In some countries the Orthodox. But during Bayram no you just do not let go. And Rosh Hashanah is not a reason for the output…

“Preferences” of “their” religion is observed in many ways. In the menu of school canteens, a ban on the hijab… And try in Poland to build a mosque… Although it is THEORETICALLY possible…

The same picture from the other side. Somewhere you can’t drink beer. Try even in Turkey find fat. And sometimes you can “fly” and under Sharia law… Or do you (as a Christian) to pray in the mosque, but often (for example in the White mosque of Damascus or the Blue mosque of Istanbul), the entrance to it for you.

It turns out that “mono-ethnic” countries, there are some “preferences” and some restrictions on your equity, depending on religious affiliation.

And can you imagine a Muslim at the head of the Russian state?. Although in the US a hundred years ago, long would have laughed if someone said that a colored man could become President…

In General, it is better to be an atheist…
