The USSR, 1930s documentary photos of the founder of the Soviet photo essay by Boris Ignatovich
Boris Ignatovich was born in the Belarusian town of Slutsk in 1899.
Journalistic courier he started at the age of 19, and the first edition in which he worked, was a newspaper “Severo-Donetskaya Communist”. He was shot in the civil war, was covering taking place there.
After the war he settled in Moscow, and later moved to Leningrad, where he worked for comic magazines.
And in the Northern capital he became interested in photography.
