As the authors of the legislative initiative, one of the problems which hinders the development of electromobility in Ukraine is the question of the equipment of places for Parking and charging electric vehicles, the lack of appropriate road signs.
In Ukraine often recorded cases when places which include chargers, other vehicles. “This creates problems for access of electric vehicles to the charging station, often prevents further movement of electric vehicles due to low charge of the battery and inhibits the development of infrastructure,” — said in the explanatory note to the bill.
In addition, the law would harmonize Ukrainian legislation in the sphere of marking of vehicles with an electric motor with the best European and world samples.
According to people’s Deputy Alexey Ryabchin, the law will allow to protect the rights of drivers of electric vehicles to access charging stations. “The bill is very simple. It provides an opportunity to implement green rooms for electric vehicles, to resolve the question of the arrangement of Parking spaces, charging for cars”, — said the Deputy.
For stopping or Parking on a place for electric vehicles assumes a fine from 300 to 500 UAH. Also the vehicle can delay the inspectors in the Parking lot or the police.
