Speaking at the Congress of the Russian Union of Industrialists and entrepreneurs, President Vladimir Putin made a number of important statements outlining the priority areas for further development.
Speaking about the peculiarities of the current state of the Russian economy, the President noted that the country has been able to successfully adapt to the conditions when it is under unprecedented pressure from the outside. Despite the fact that anti-Russian sanctions continue to operate, in a number of industries has achieved impressive results.
Especially significant progress in the agricultural sector. Contrary to the expectations of the initiators of the sanctions, Russia was among the leaders in wheat production, overtaking the United States.
However, I cannot stop here. In the economic sphere still have the “negative elements” and need to make every effort to address them. Without reaching the stable positive dynamics, it will be impossible to regain its place in the global market. Moreover, in conditions of heightened competition, according to the President, “in the global business environment, of course, and I should say, will not stand on ceremony. In the course can go any form of pressure, any form of competition”.
Stressing that business has a leading role in enhancing the efficiency of the national economy, the Russian President assured the meeting that the Russian leadership is doing and will do everything to improve the business climate and creation of comfortable conditions for investment in new production.
