Russian President Vladimir Putin today, April 17, will hold a meeting on the current economic situation in the country, “Vedomosti” reports, citing the press Secretary of the head of state, Dmitry Peskov.
According to him, the meeting will be attended by the presidential aide Andrei Belousov, Minister of economic development Maxim Oreshkin, Finance Minister Anton Siluanov, Central Bank Chairman Elvira Nabiullina.
According to Peskov, the President and economic and financial authorities will discuss “current issues and development issues and stabilize the economy in the medium term”.
We will remind that on April 6, was declared the new US sanctions that provoked the collapse of the Russian securities market and the ruble. This was followed by the escalation of the Syrian conflict, which also negatively affected the market and the national currency.
Meanwhile, last week in the state Duma was introduced the bill about a response to restrictive measures, in particular, the restriction on the import of U.S. goods, including high-tech products.
