Психологи рассказали, почему люди страдают от обжорстваWhy 70% of people eat more than they should. And again want to eat.

Actually there is a logical explanation for all of these conditions and the resulting desire to eat. And it can only be explained from the standpoint of psychology.

We talked to the school psychologist nutrition theBODY school and a member of the Ukrainian Union of psychotherapists Alexandra Sinkovo the day helps many people to prevent such breakdowns.

Before telling what exactly causes a person to overeat, the psychologist noted that psychological overeating men and women are so different, how different, in General, the psychology of men and women. But it is noteworthy that men are not prone to eating disorders (bulimia, anorexia nervosa) and not come to the attention of doctors and psychologists with these problems.

So what are they, six main reasons that cause a person to overeat.

Fatigue is the depletion of resources — physical and emotional. From an evolutionary standpoint we are programmed to survive. And if we now have resource depletion — which means that now they need not only to replenish but also to accumulate. And the food at the same time adds to both online — through the actual flow of energy, and emotionally — through the stimulation of the reward system in the brain.

Many say that start to “grab a slice” it is in moments of boredom. For a person, in principle, tend to intensify search activities during boredom and something to do.

When self-doubt or low self-esteem people unconsciously acts out the feeling of maliennes through overeating.

So he punishes himself. It may be a form of self-destructive behaviour. The extra weight can be a kind of signal: “I am nothing but problems — stay away from me” when we are talking about a profound problem of self-esteem, guilt and shame.

Stress by itself in the body starts a series of physiological processes involving hormones. This can influence both directly in increased appetite and indirectly to weight gain through a slowdown in metabolism.

When we do something biologically favorable (eg: eat, have sex, rest) receptors in the brain get a dose of hormone-like substances, whereby we experience pleasure. We are specially “equipped” with this reward system to survive and continue the race.
