The decision about the launch is still pending.
While we patiently await the day when Porsche presents the Cayman GT4 update, the engineers in Stuttgart have decided to realize their sporting ambitions in a rally version of its small mid-engine coupe.
Last week in a Twitter they published a few images of the rally car on the basis of current Cayman GT Clubsport. While this concept, but it will act as a zero crew in late August at Rallye Deutschland. And that’s not all! The pilot will perform no other than Romain Dumas himself. If you forgot – he recently set a new record of the hill Pikes Peak in an electric car Volkswagen.
Porsche does not want particularly to dwell on the characteristics of a rally car, but promises that the decision to release the production version will be made this year. The photo shows that it is similar to the standard Cayman GT4 Clubsport with extra light on the trunk (ie, the front), protection units, and a roof vent. Also visible are the white wheels with tires Michelin Pilot Sport and OMP tow loops front and rear.
Judging by the wires in the photos, engine is also something podshamanyat. On the updated model is a six-cylinder 3.8-liter engine capacity of 380 HP, six-speed “robot” PDK and rear-wheel drive.
