Regular consumption of chicken increases the risk of certain cancers.
Scientists from Oxford University found a link between eating chicken and three types of cancer. One of the of cancer is malignant melanoma, according to the Chronicle.info with reference to the news of Yu.
As studies have shown, fans of chicken meat risk to malignant melanoma, prostate cancer and b lymphoma. The researchers tracked 475 000 British middle-age, analyzing their diet and the illnesses they have been diagnosed, finding that 23 000 of these have developed mostly three kinds of cancer.
It is worth noting the study by American scientists, published earlier this year showed that women who switched to the bird, giving up beef, lamb or pork with 28% less likely to be diagnosed with breast cancer.
When it comes to red meat, the NHS points out, “there is probably a link between the consumption of enormous quantities of animal products and colorectal cancer.”
