The burial is located near the 5,000 year old monument Brin-Kelly-Di.

Archaeologists have discovered on the British Isle of Anglesey, which is associated with the mysterious priests of the ancient druids, the burial age four thousand years. Despite the fact that the burial is older than the druids, who existed, if existed two thousand years ago, it can tell about the ancient inhabitants of the island, reported the online edition of the Chronicle.info with reference to zn.ua.

It is noted that the island is famous for its Neolithic monuments and finds of the bronze age. The most famous of them is the 5,000 year old monument Brin-Kelly Dee, which was found in 1928-1929. Archaeologists under the direction of Fiona Reynolds from Cardiff University carried out excavations next to him for four years, and drew attention to the mound, which is located at a distance of 50 meters from it.

Analysis of the mound showed that it was erected in the bronze age, much later than Brin-Kelly-Di. However, some artifacts that are in the mound, may be much older. According to the researchers, this suggests that the Brin-Kelly Dee was the location for holding the ritual ceremonies for thousands of years.

Of Anglesey the most well-known due to the fact that it is associated with the druids. They were first described by Julius Caesar and the historian Cornelius Tacitus. Despite the fact that no historical evidence of their existence has not been found in the literature they are known as religious leaders of the Celts.

According to modern scientific ideas, the druids were closed, but not a hereditary caste among the Celts. They were not only priests, but also dealt with the treatment of diseases and astronomy.
